My Joys and Struggles Being an OFW (or having a loved one who is an OFW)

To all our OFWs and loved ones of OFWs this is our forum. Anybody is welcome here to post experiences, sharings, pains, journeys etc of being an OFW. Let us cherish all these things.

Being far away from loved ones is at times so difficult and stressing. In fact, I have heard of so many individuals who have suffered intense stress to the point that they lost their sense of direction and meaning in life. Yet I reckon that with the elements of trust and constant communication, the pain of being far from each other is lessened. Trust that no matter how far the distance one from the other, the element of love would always be present and expressed. Trust that even how difficult the situation could be yet the progress and priority of the other loved one is at stake. And with this, there is that constant driving force to stay out of those challenging situations. Meanwhile exchanging constant communications is a great relief from the pain of being physically detached from the other loved one. Even though how busy one could be yet if there is that constant consideration of the welfare and the happiness of the other, then a special time could always be allotted for the other.
